Citroen has a sistem called "Bang-bang" on the Xsara WRC.
Throw by-pass valves, combustion is executed in the outlet system, thus kepping the turbo spinning. It getīs is name from the sound it makes, "bang-bang"... But Citroen prevents ratteres (or what ever you call when the exaust spits flames) because it causes unnecessary heat.
