I have said something like this before, i think
US musclecar can be road racer and Jap car can be drag car....its all about money and knowledge....not about where the car is made.
What comes to this engine power thing...all i can say bigger is better....and even some smart jap car lovers know that.
Everybody know that old musclecar aint good road racer in stock codition like any other old car.... But when building race car it dosent matter mutch how good it was in stock conditon...becouse when we talk any pro cars there aint mutch stock in those cars.
If you want killer brakes on to your car go and buy carbon fiber brakes..
If you wanna have sick power that makes world turn...go and buy twin turbo 815cid mountain motor that makes 1000ft-lb torgue at idle.
If you wanna have bulleproof trans buy airsifted lenco or other hardcore tarns.
If the weigh is problem use lots carbon fiber body parts, chromy moly, magnesium, aluminium....even titanium.
If you wanna have downforce, buy huge wings
If you need good grip, buy slicks
If you want good handling go and buy some pro road race suspension.
All could be done if you just have money
