I love that fact that knowone has mentioned that the SRT-4 was close to 600hp and running near 25psi of boost when it blew. It blew because a spark plug fell apart during the run and shot a hole in the piston. It has nothing to do with the drivetrain being shit. The crank is rated for 900hp, internals close to 650hp.

2.0s yes did have headgasket problems up until 97 on 2.0 SOHC and DOHC motors. After that they were fixed with the updated headgasket, Once fixed with the MLS headgasket you will never have a problem agian. 2.4s never had a headgasket problem.
