I never had much problem hitting shifts but when my clutch pedal was a little out of adjustment I had to go all the way to the floor before it would even think about disengaging the clutch so you'd hit a snag when shifting and miss it. Once I realized what was going on I tweaked the pedal height for what worked best for my style.
