The Evo and the STi owners are both friends of mine, so we end up racing quite a bit. The EVO since that video has been made has gotten alot quicker... He's now tuned, running higher boost, removed cat, larger downpipe. Very quick.
I'm very impressed with how both of thier cars spool so quickly (2.5l displacement in the STi, twin scroll on the Evo), even over my small 14b.
