Although it somewhat reliable, it never broke down and left us stranded, but the cost of maintanace was outragous. MANY problems and GM took thier time fixing them. ADD in shoddy work to the list.
Plus the truck sucks in snow. Driving around Buffalo NY and Ft,Erie Canada I had 250lbs of sand in the back to keep it from doing loops on the highways.
truck = $460 monthly payment + $120 insurance + $300 in fuel = $880
Yaris 1.5L VVT-i 4 cyl, 106 hp, 0-60 in 10 seconds, 1/4 mile in 17, 50+mpg hwy, 45 mpg city
Fully loaded.
Yaris = $310 montly payment + $105 insurance + $100 in fuel = $515
That's over $360 in my pocket and no worries about car repairs or break downs. The car is just as quick or quicker, WAY faster (have had it up to 185kph a couple times) handles much better and rides 5x better, and oddly a hell of a lot more fun to drive. WAY better in snow, better for city driving /parking, more passenger room, WAY more practical and with more features. Better warranty, better road side assistance. Shall I go on?
With that $$$ i'll buy another bike for the wife and I to play on and I would even still have money left over for traveling and toys.
Besides I still have the DSM, several dirt and street bikes, 78 camaro, 67 valiant, and a few other toys.
The wife Has the Company truck (06 Dodge Daytona) should I need a truck.
The company car is a 06 Lincoln LS
I'm happy to have gotten rid of the truck.
I should have bough an econo box 10 years ago
