my point is that the hole in the outer wall will not be that big.

It will be smaller than the airplane, because reinforced concrete is stronger than air craft aluminum.

let me draw a diagram to better explain.



Here is what I meant about entry/exit wound damage. The damage at the entry point would be minimal, and as the plane kept going into the building, the structure would absorb more of the damage.
