There are tons of people that are running 3.4" - 2.5" pulleys on stock 3800s. If anything you could crack would be a head itself , or blow a head gasket. Normally a head gasket is the first to go. Im sure some of the GTP guys here will tell you the 2.5 pulley can blow a head gasket without extra fuel and modifying the CPU to support it.

GTP block isn't made to hold up tons od 12sec runs, you can run 10s but for how long
I know guy who change 2 GTP motors because they get crack at 380HP ,and car was tuned my shop , so its not owners fault ,they just wasn't ment for boost
