The talon was mine, alittle more info about both cars.
The vette is a c5 not a z06 as it was a simple missunderstaing due to the zo6 wheels on the car, that was my mistake.
There is different storys about the water/meth injection as I was told it was on that night as that is why he wanted to race, basically he wanted to use my car as a freeway dyno to see how well it was doing.
The vette has dyoned 530whp and 470wtq on pump gas back to back on a hot summer day 90+degree weather, the night we raced it was 30-35 degrees outside so his car was making around 540whp or more for that matter.
The vette has a bone stock motor and cams with these mods
D1 procharger @12lbs
full exhaust
reprogramed ecu
upgraded fuel system, (not sure what he has)
4.10 rear gears that is limiting him very badly right now.
innercooled
and a few more goodies that I can not think of right now.
The reason you guys cannot hear the vette is my external waste gate (44mm tial) dumps to the atmosphere and is extremely loud when it hits boost, there for it drowned out the vette. They could not even hear my honks the 1st time when I just left all of the sudden, I could not hear his honks either so I just left when I seen the vette jump.
My car for reference has ran a best of 10.66 @139mph on full race settings.
Was a very fun race indeed, alittle on the hairy side as my car wanted to spin all 4 through 3rd gear. My car ruffly makes around 650-680whp on full race settings. So the race was really no match as his vette has gone a best of 11.6 @120mph hitting the rev limiter at 1000ft mark in 4th gear due to the 4.10 rear gears, he states that it bogs too badly when he shifts to 5th so it is pointless for him to shift to 5th gear, I dunno, thats just what he says.
