Ok guys im pretty sure that non of you have been to Dubai...
Well let me put it this way:

Dubai is the ONLY place in the Arabian Gulf with no or very little oil.

Dubai is an Emirate (state) in the United Arab Emirates, which has alot of oil but the oil wealth is not ditributed equally. The old shiek, may he RIP, spent alot of the oil revenues to diverify the econmy in Dubai. Tourisim is HUGE there and they make alot more money from real estate and trading in comodities and goods than oil. All the money you see is from that not oil.

Talking about Bill Gates, Dubai is building a huge Silicone Valley and you might see PC's from big names being manufactured there soon. Why not China? Free market economy and NO TAX !!!!

There are more rooms for hire in Dubai than London (7X the population) and Dubai has the highest occupancy rate for hotels in the world (95% year round)

Trump just announced a $450 million hotel project in Dubai cuz its so lucrative. The propety (owned by one of the Enzo driving guys in the link) is worth about 20% of the project budget ! Thats just one deal... there is alot of money to be made in Dubai and Americans and europians alike are flocking there....

The last time i have been to Dubai and Burj Al-Arab it was full of english people driving around in Aston Martins and Russians in Ferraris... not shieks to me !!! ohh and the Americans in thier limos and Phantoms...

Moaddona has a house thier, I have seen Byonce there etc....

The UAE's Economy is the second largest in the gulf being approximately 30% that of Saudi. The population is about 20% (4 Million) that of Saudi. The oil production is 20% (2.5 million BPD) that of Saudi and the counrty per capita is about 2-3 times as rich. in 2003 forgien investment in Dubai alone was $50 Billion. !
Dubai is growing at 14% per year thats WAY more than China ....

get your facts straight guys oil is a money maker( hell yeah) but not the only one!
plus you guys make twice to three time as much as we do from our oil... we sell crude (un-refined oil) to you at $60 a barrel, you refine it and distribure it in the US and sell it for $120-$150 a barrel of Gasoline (cars) or Kerosene (planes) etc...
